1. I was watching a show and there was a thirty year old woman in it and she had three children already. I was like well, she is old enough. Then I was like woah, I’m going to be thirty in five years. Then I was like…um..hell no I’m not having kids in five years. I simply just can’t imagine myself having children in the near 5, 10, or 15 years. I want to accomplish so many...

Hmmmm...
I like my horoscope for today… “Why are you so preoccupied with looking back at your past, when your future holds so much promise?! There you are, wasting your time wondering whatever happened to that lost love — while a potential new love is practically right in front of you, flapping their arms wildly in an attempt to get your attention! Turn and face front. Look at where ...

November 2011 Goal
My goal is to condition myself to require no more that 5 hours of sleep. That would enable me to be so much more productive.

1. Revival - Deerhunter — So I totally just got into Deerhunter because of my brother. I’m such a copy cat. Whatever. 2. Desire Lines - Deerhunter — (See sentence above.) 3. Sweetest Kill - Broken Social Scene — I was watching “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” and they had a Broken Social Scene song in there. Not specifically this one. But it made me look up...

Woman Power!
My professor is so amazing. She’s brilliant yet scary (but in a non-threatening yet intimidating kind of way). Yet she is also so captivating and funny sometimes. I seriously never feel sleepy in her class because she always has something interesting to say. She kind of just makes me realize how knowledge really is power. She tells the class how it is but somehow her words inspire me to try...

The Smell of Grass
I was driving down Burbank Blvd. today in the morning, on my way to work, and I saw this gardener who was mowing the lawn of a church. I had my defroster on, so I could smell everything from outside — especially the smell of the freshly cut grass. It was awesome! I love that smell…it reminds me of home. It reminds me of my dad when he cuts the grass at our house. The thought of my...

Grad School
I have to constantly remind myself of how much I wanted to go to grad school in order to avoid insanity. Working 9-5pm then staying up until 1am is starting to take a toll. I miss sleeping. That’s the hardest part of grad school: the sleep deprivation.

New
Crazy first day of a new semester at work, with a whole new group of children. It’s amazing how much you can learn about them in one day though. It’s an utter blessing that they already feel comfortable with me since they’ve seen me around the school and have interacted with me from time to time. Which makes me think, it must be really difficult to transition to whole new class...

Here Comes The Sun
So my preschoolers have all moved on to kindergarten and I was super bummed to see them leave. I seriously cried a lot. It was hard to hear them say that they will miss me and it was really hard to see some of them cry over it. Really hard. I still get choked up thinking about it. I love them all so much and will miss them dearly as well. They were my first real class and I had an amazing time...

Go Big or Go Home!
Ran 6+ miles today, it was pure awesomeness! I set my Nike+ thing to 5 miles but I was like fuck it…let’s just do 6! The most I’ve run is like 7 miles at a time, so it was pretty awesome to get very close to 7 again. I couldn’t do 7 though. I was super exhausted in the last half a mile. My chest felt weird…like someone was pushing down on it. Weird. Plus this dude...

Top 5 of July
1. Back to School Sales everywhere — OMG. This is my third favoritest time of the year. Christmas is first, Thanksgiving is second, and this time of year comes third. What is it about buying school supplies that makes me so utterly happy? Perhaps this year has special meaning because I am finally, after two years, back in school. Grad school, here I come! woot! woot! 2. Easy A — I...

1. Young Blood - The Naked and Famous — I heard this for the first time like in June but didn’t really pay attention to it. It was getting lots of hype by the KROQ dj, so I was like whatever. But once I finally listened to it in its entirety, I was hooked. Very unique…not like what is currently out there. I love listening to this very very loudly on my way to work, it pumps me...

1. Running is super fun when there are a bunch of other runners around. 2. In a month I’ll be back in school and I’m excited yet kind of intimidated and overwhelmed by it all. 3. I’m finding a lot of good music lately…Two Door Cinema Club, The Morning Benders, The Naked and Famous, The Head and The Heart. Pretty awesome. For several months, I had just about given up on...

1. I am in love with Beach House all over again. “Teen Dream” is such an amazing album. Every song is unique and amazing in itself yet listening to the whole album makes each song so much more special and interesting. “Norway” is one of my favorites! I love everything about that song. 2. I’ve realized I am so lucky because I have such an amazing job that I love so...

1. Running — My mom, brother, and I have decided to run at least 3 times per week. That means 3 miles every time we run, which means we run a total of 9 miles per week. It’s pretty awesome to get back into the groove of running. Although I still find it super tough to just start…I loathe the beginning part of just like jogging/running. UGH. The first 5 minutes are...

The Positives
Sometimes I forget about how pretty damn lucky I am. I forget to put an emphasis on the positives. So five positive things that happened today were: 1. Getting to slide down over and over and over on the “big slide” at school with the kids in my preschool class. 2. Talking to my favoritest kid at the preschool in the morning…who asked me to be his teacher again! SO SWEET! 3....
